So yesterday's EdTech conference was both fun and informative! It gave attendees a change to learn from people who've been working at integrating technology and pedagogy for the improvement of teaching and learning, and it gave people a chance to meet with some pretty influential members on the five UMass campuses. The CIO and Director of the Library for UMass Boston were there, and so were Ken Udas and Patrick Masson - CEO and CTO of UMass Online!
For us GIDA members it gave us an opportunity to meet as well because there were quite a few of us both on campus and interacting online via twitter! If you missed the tweet stream yesterday, do a search for the #UMBEdTech hash tag on twitter to see what happened.
Normally, after a conference we'd post (on Ning) some of our own observations and lessons learned from the conference, but this being an EdTech conference everything was recorded! The Conference Proceedings will soon be available online here. Until they are all collected and uploaded check out a livestream uploaded by Gonzalo Bacigalupe (@bacigalupe) - Professor at UMass Boston and one of UMass Boston's leading EdTechies :-)
