Seeking candidates for a new GIDA President

At the end of this semester the current president of GIDA will be graduating and we will be needing a new leader to sheppard the organization for the next year (or two, or three).  Our GIDA Constitution can be found here if you are interested in knowing more about the organization and the job.

In short the qualifications for President are as follows:

• Must be a current MEd student in the Instructional Design Program
• Must be an on-campus student (for the purposes of interacting with campus officials if we become an official university club)
• Must have at least 1 year left in the program. If you just finished INSDSG 601 you are the perfect candidate!

The duties of the President are:

Required

• Preside over all meetings
• Co-Direct the Social Network
• Consult with the Treasurer on financial transactions
• Coordinate GIDA activities with the ID department

Optional

• Activate the organization with the UMB GSA (this is why you must be an on-campus student)
• Author blog posts for the official GIDA blog (this blog)
